This weeks show was a taste of what's to come on PCR's NEW coming show:
"The Orphanage (intl)" with Mister Zip and his pal Jason O'Gulihur; Tonight, 4/6/09 Stuck (pretty much) to the format of Alex's "Post Punk for Post Punks". This weeks Orphans heard the 2 OG Punkers as they came off their meds for a few days to gave a bit of the history of "Punker-dom" in song and speech. Mister Zip and Jason went reminiscing down Punk Rock memory lane of the mid 70's (to mid 80's) scenes in London, Hell-A, Frisco and New York, (that they survived thru) showing how the bands and songs of "Pre-Punk" and "Punk Rock" along with the characters of those earlier scenes, highly influenced and turned into, what came later; including some "pop stars" that would never have been (most likely) if not for the Punk Rock and their scenes before them. Tho very little in THIS episode, "The Orphanage (intl)" ALSO combines YOUR LIVE CALLS (415-992-5313) with the socio/politico sicko/sexual discourse that permeates our lives.
